I graduated from Brighton High School in 1995 and from Michigan Tech University in 1999.
I'm blessed to have been happily married to my wife and best friend Danielle since July 2001.
I have the rarest of all 16 personality types (INFJ).
I started attending yoga classes in 2003, and have found it to be a great physical and spiritual practice.
I used to run a dial-up computer bulletin board (called Sound Bytes BBS) before home Internet connections became commonly available.
I am hopelessly idealistic, place great trust in intuition, and find beauty in neglected places.
I enjoy making music, but don't get much of an opportunity to do so anymore. Some of my music was on a pirate radio station long ago.
I tend to express myself most easily through writing.
I strive to be open-minded.
I played saxophone in the Huskies Pep Band. Damn, we're good.
It's almost a year and a half now that I've been using my new camera and posting photos to this web site. I really have enjoyed having a place to share these photos with friends, family, and visitors from the Internet at large. I've heard from people who have stopped in from places including Canada, Japan, and even Iran - which is all pretty amazing. Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to visit the site and drop me a note or a comment to say hello.
On the photography front, I haven't been able to be as active as I'd like, mainly owing to a shortage of spare time to go exploring and a case of the winter blues. I have been taking my camera with me when I head out, though, and have been making pictures when I have the chance. In addition, I've set up an account with a pro printing lab and have started getting some really nice prints done. I may eventually put some prints up for sale on the site, but in the meantime feel free to contact me if you see anything you would like a printed copy of. I've also been gradually working with my trusty slide scanner toward digitizing all my old film photos, so you may see some of those pop up here from time to time.
I'm toying with the idea of putting up a personal web site where I can do some writing. If anything comes of that, I'll add some more information here.
For those of you who are new here, this site is a place where I can share my photos and use as motivation to get out and take more photos and keep improving my skills. I've enjoyed photography for a long time, and I do a lot of web development in my job, so this is a place I can combine all that and do something fun.
You're always welcome to leave comments on any photo page. If you'd rather contact me directly, though, feel free to leave me a message.
Thanks for visiting...
